Exit of the Siq at Petra, with view of Al Khazneh. Spot the camel, which gives the scale. Wadi Musa, Jordan

I've been lucky enough to have visited Petra over a dozen times, whilst working on the Great Arab Revolt Project. This first view of the Treasury is always amazing.

I always follow back, & really appreciate & follow boosters

@rogward Thanks for posting this. I’m visiting Jordan for the first time next week. Excited beyond words. #Petra #Jordan
@rogward Visiting Petra is my one travel regret. I’ll never see it now. Too old and infirm to make it. Thank you for sharing so I can see it virtually ☺️
@rogward Have been lucky enough to visit there once (on a work trip to Amman). Amazing place.
@rogward Petra is amazing! The rocks alone, striped and coloured by the variety of mineral deposits they contain, would make a photo essay. And it’s such a big place. We only had one day there and it wasn’t enough to see it all.
@rogward I have always wanted to go to Petra, what an amazing place, you are lucky to have seen it

@rogward extraordinary

Humbling

@rogward Al Kazneh is a bucket list trip. I’d see the rest of it too, of course, but that particular view is the draw for me.
@rogward
Always impressive to look at this and how achieved it and how it fit in while today I would expect us changing the landscape tragically first.
@rogward Incredible looking place.
@rogward never been, but I always associate this scene with 'Indian Jones and The Last Crusade' 🙂
