Just a friendly reminder, I am running a public utility https://tweets.icu that allows you to follow Bird Site accounts on your timeline here on the #fediverse. They cannot be re-tooted but it does let you follow your friends who have not setup a cross post or migrated here. Feel free to use it just search "@<twitterusername>@tweets.icu" and you will be able to follow for your own use. #feditip #fediservice

@hack13 That sounds really interesting 👀

Following the instructions, I put a <username>@tweets.icu handle into my instance's search bar and the account came right up. Neat!

Question: If I do follow such an account, does it put their posts on my timeline? Looking at the profile it says "Bot" and it doesn't have any posts 🤔

@SebinNyshkim This is based off of GitHub Project called "BirdsiteLive" the way it works is once someone starts following it, it starts pulling any new tweets they post. So you will not see their previous posts, only new posts. They will also show up as bot, because BirdsiteLive software is creating a bot account to track and post any new posts from the followed account on Twitter proper.
@hack13 bro, this tool is amazing. Vey thanks for that =)
@danilotakagi I didn't make the tool, I just host a public instance of it. To help people out.
@hack13 Oh. Still, I discovered the tool by finding your post, so thanks anyway. ^^
