She’s the most restlessly creative songwriter around, she laughs at genre lanes, & her music makes me glad to be alive, often.

She’s called soul, rap, blues, been put in with (‘90s weird, sample-collage, hip-hop beat-poet era) Beck; & on Mike Patton’s label. None of it comes close. This motherlode of unreleased songs 1999-2004 is a treasure trove.
