Presentation today to Biodivful biodiversity consortium, University of Turku (Finland).

One of the things I do with the audience to start off is a quiz about pollinators. It challenges misconceptions and (hopefully) engages the audience.

I find it super interesting that the responses on the quiz question 1 is 50 % true, 50 false.

"Question 1: Save the bees! Our honeybees are endangered and going extinct!"

Answer False!

Beekeepers face many challenges, but the European honeybee, Apis mellifera, is not endangered. Rather, many wild bee species are under threat due to habitat loss, chemicalization of the environment, and climate change.
