Oh hi new followers what are you up to today? I'm testing several dozen to-do list apps...
@jhpot Which did you weed out as the best ones?
@johnclements TickTick is probably the most versatile, Todoist is likely the best for most people, and Things is the nicest.
@jhpot @johnclements see how short your blog post could be? :Troll dance:
@jhpot I'm trying out Mastodon's advanced web interface, checking the PDF of a report, and thinking about lunch.
@jhpot Always come back to tasks on index cards I can shuffle around but find dead-simple https://teuxdeux.com/ for some lists.
TeuxDeux

A simple to-do app so you can focus on what matters. One day at a time.

@jhpot I use the free tier of #Todoist and found it to be more than sufficient. Lots of good options out there! https://todoist.com/features #tasktracking
Features | Todoist

Todoist is the productivity tool you need to get work and life organized. Collect tasks, organize projects, and plan your day.

Todoist
@jhpot Now lm retired I can usually keep my tasks in my head. I have used an add-on to Edge called Momentum, I believe, but it was several years ago.
@fr_phil I wish I could keep my tasks in my head! There's too many. Momentum is pretty cool though.
@jhpot I'm renewing my deep visceral hatred of Gantt charts and the tooling around them (never mind the idea itself).
@russellpierce Man I can't stand those things. Burn them all.
@jhpot ... Also burn burn down charts. 🔥
@jhpot just very fresh to mastodon, exploring this universe. Tried a lot in the past and ended with iOS Notes and Reminders.
@jhpot Check out https://planna.co - it's a specialized To do app for UK homes with pre-populated tasks (DISCLAIMER: I work there)
Planna - Home Maintenance (BETA)

Preventative Home Maintenance

@jhpot
very well, hope you too :D
best from g´money
@jhpot I use Sorted3 - https://www.sortedapp.com which syncs between my Apple devices and integrates with calendars too. Tried others, including todo in Standard Notes and Roam, but Sorted3 works well for me.
Sorted³ – Hyper-schedule your entire day in one place

Sorted³ combines your tasks, calendar events and notes into a unified timeline so you can hyper-schedule your entire day in one place.

@jhpot And thanks for the #NPR interview this evening :) Was great to finally hear public radio get in-the-loop on this stuff.
@Delib If someone was interviewed on NPR it wasn't me! At least, I hope not, I have no memory of that...
