Fascinating to me that NY Dems (apparently) got clobbered in Congressional races.
At least in part this appears to be because NY state law had already codified Roe and ensured #abortion / #repoductivehealth rights statewide.
Many NY Dem candidates thus had to go to the mat on economic issues...and in so doing they didn't gain a lot of traction with voters.

There are a lot of moving parts to take into account here, of course, including surrealistically heavy #GenZ turnout. But I think one relevant takeaway to this extraordinary election cycle has to be that the hard right lost the #midterms, at least in part, because they "won" the long half-century campaign of aiming for #SCOTUS reversal of #RoeVWade.

If we can now #codifyRoe at the Federal level, we will be delivering on what appears to me to be a clear mandate from voters. Less clear is what mandate Dems now have on economic issues.
