@Paul_Hill itโs good although I think the focal length on the c8 is a bit of a challenge for the plate solving when trying to use a planetary camera. Worked very well with the small frac. Just had one of those frustrating evenings with lots of little tech issues. I was right earlier when I said I should have gone with my dob!
@Paul_Hill I find the c8 a bit of a handful without goto - maybe need to try it with a #telrad see if thatโs easierโฆ
@mistuk I don't think I've ever seen a C8 used manually?
@Paul_Hill Iโve used it on an alt / az manual before and itโs ok as long as youโre going for something obvious. It was very wet out on the plain. And bloody windy too!
@mistuk I'm glad I didn't drag mine out though, sky was so turbulent and it's a lot of scope to drag out for a short session
