I’m really loving the #Mastodon environment, and like the concept of the Content Warning label - now that I’ve figured out how to apply it in the iOS app. Quick question for #MastodonExperts - is there a way to put a CW when boosting a toot?
@rlavery2 I *think* it actually stands for Content Wrapper and used to handily put a heading on something that some people might not want to read
@moranicly - thanks for the clarification! I like the feature, and based on a lot of the new posts I’ve seen, and the guidance from others, toots I want to “boost” should *probably* have a CW attached - like USPOL. In other words is there a way to add a CW if the original Toot did not contain one.
@rlavery2 hmmm, my guess would be not as you'd be effectively adding content to a toot which could be misused... but I'm probably the wrong person to ask!
@moranicly - great point. Hadn’t thought of that. I’ll just keep boosting the #MastadonEtiquette re: political posts. Thanks again.

Attached: 1 image Did you know that you can hide other people’s toots behind content warnings by using a filter? I did not! You can create a filter that triggers on whatever key words or phrases you want, and have it hide those toots behind a warning. I love this place more and more.

@moranicly - Interesting and thank you! Something new to learn!
