I’m seeing tons of awesome stuff that’s outside of my usual security firehose on other sites
@joshbressers Haha, good one. Pretty sure I've seen the same before but with Indieweb 😂
@joshbressers It's such an odd paradigm to get used to compared to other sites, but I'm really digging it too. :3
@Jolly_Poo_Flinger could you pass this onto Nudi on Twitter, this is how meme Soylent.⬆️⬆️⬆️
@joshbressers all y'all's posts make it seem like twitter was just an utter hellscape
@joshbressers did you make that meme haha? That’s great!
@joshbressers I'm loving the firehose for now but I'm wondering if there is or will be a way to have community-driven algorithms developed and chosen by the users, or is that is against the philosophy of this platform? For instance, I wouldn't mind seeing people I interact with show up on top of my feed more frequently than those I don't. Having an AI trained for aspirational values would be interesting...
@joshbressers exactly this,its very refreshing
@joshbressers @adamdavidson Made a difference back when Twitter first started. Then the algorithm made these decisions for you and it all went downhill.

@joshbressers

Yeah! It's super neat seeing more diverse posts again.

Algorithmic feeds really just hone in on a few things and that starts to be all you ever see.

@joshbressers Really? I'm seeing tons of Nazism and lots of rape threats of me personally.
@joshbressers and is very interesting and weird how different it feels. Especially as the UX is very similar from a AI driven model
