Don't confuse privacy with secrecy. We know what happens in the bathroom, but you still close the door. That's because you want privacy, not secrecy. Everyone has something to hide, privacy is something that makes you human.

@privacyguides another useful word here is "confidentiality". TLS can keep the contents of a connection confidential, but any observer can see that the connection exists. TOR/i2p can make communication secret - an observer can't see any connections. Secrecy is a superset. There's valid reasons to need either confidentiality or secrecy at different times.
