Hello Mastodonians! For an #introduction:
I'm a husband, father of 2, grandfather of 5. Served 38 years in the Army, all over the world. Now thriving in a 2d chapter of life studying & teaching leadership (mostly in healthcare which was my research focus for a Doctor of Business Administration in 2019), "analyzing" national security on CNN (recently a lot on Ukraine due to my time spent in Europe), and engaging in several non-profits. I believe we should keep working on a more perfect union.

Hello, Mark. I enjoy your posts on Twitter, but things seem to be going from bad to worse there, so I've set up an account on Mastodon and am following you here too. For now, it's just a placeholder account. I'll use Twitter as long as I can. But everyone needs to prepare for the worst, I guess. I'm relieved to find you here at Mastodon! I feel like this place is a wise plan B, for the seemingly forthcoming demise of Twitter. Democracy requires that a functional and properly moderated social media platform prevails.
