Since a few days ago rAudio-1 from rern has came along to me. With this multiroom audio based on Snapcast became easy. It should be usefull to setup a multiple cast infrastructure. Also with early rPI's as headless setups as receiver. Really happy about. Only figuring out LineIn I was not able to, seems easy but my technical ability has its limits.
