@thhaase and I have created a rough and dirty web app, which lists sociological accounts on Mastodon, and offers you to create a following list. This list allows you to follow all the accounts you chose at once. The webpage is still work in progress but it should do its job.

I think it can be very helpful for sociologists freshly joining mastodon.

@perspektivbrocken we if you could just select it and click follow once, that would be great. it should be possible to have people enter their own name once and then open a bunch of tabs via js. I'd have to investigate how the follow process works in detail.

@Bindestriche but if you want to follow 30 persons, opening 30 tabs ist mir really a more elegant way, is it? But perhaps I misunderstand your idea. You are welcome to make suggestions in the GitHub, too, if you are interested in that.

@perspektivbrocken I was thinking of doing things programmatical , I must admit that the api documentation of mastodon is confusion to me. it should be easy to built an small app that lets you follow several accounts at once.

@hendrikerz is having a look at the API at the moment as well, so perhaps you two want to get in contact. And perhaps @d2ns has some experience with it or has some good resources on it?
