Noticed I have not posted anything that is not digital painting or doodle so here is a #Pixelart This was the concept for when I was updating my stream look! still very happy with the layout and overall look of it, if you already follow you will probably recognize the lil ones!

@XioviArt Y'know, seeing all this really lush pixel-art revival style stuff on here has got me wondering if I should drag out some of my best old #MacPaint #FullPaint #PixelPaint #GraphicWorks and #Studio8 fotocollages I did on Mac SE and Mac II systems for digital trade/arts mags circa 1986 — '90 and post them on here.

Yeah, 1986. 1990.
I'm that old.
So, fight me.
Now, get off my metaphorical lawn. (;^>

@flugennock I would LOVE to see it! there is no such thing as too much Pixel-art, more love for the pixels!
@XioviArt Back in the early days of the Mac II, it didn't have on-board color, so you had to get a separate 8-bit card just to display 256 colors/grays. You could get 24-bit cards for them but they cost something, like, the GDP of Brazil. Only the studios at Ogilvy & Mather could afford 24-bit in their Macs back then. Christ, my new Mini *shipped* with 24-bit on the board. Like, plug it in and rock.
@XioviArt Apps like Studio/8 and PixelPaint back then, because they only ran in 8-bit, displayed gradations and tonalities as dithered color bitmaps. So, if you built your fotocollage at double size and "snapped it down" 50% on the printer, it created these really cool textured rotogravure effects at 150dpi. It worked even better with monochrome dithered bitmaps.
