JiggidyI will be moving into this cabin March of next year. It was built by the Udder Truth but kept in good condition over the years. Solar powered, spring water, steam sauna! My friend, Yarrow, is the owner and renting it to me. We are going to redo the deck and build a post and beam roof over the deck on the left. There is a confluence of two creeks below the house and a small grove of redwoods pictured here in the front yard.

@fleeky Those are redwood shingles. He has a bunch of them in two different piles that you can have. They are still good, but they are a fire hazard so they are not needed. He does not want them to go to waste, but if he has to he will turn them into kindling. I don't know how many sq ft of them he has, but there are plenty of redwood logs you could grab one or a few to split into shingles. Be good for you to see his place too and pick his brain about homesteading. He is a great resource!
