#TechAutonomy #DeclarationOfDigitalAutonomy

The goals aren't exactly the same as for #CooperativeTechnology nΓ©e #CommunalSoftware but the general direction is similar and there's a great deal of overlap.
Declaration of Digital Autonomy

Reading and comparing and contrasting this with the cooptech manifesto is an #HPREp given.

Fricking finally uploaded this and it will be hackerpublicradio.org/eps.php?… when it's processed.

I spent time on the shownotes for a few weekends, then recorded the manifesto itself two months ago and finally procrastinated forever on the brief commentary before and after. it was originally going to be HPR 3367, then 3377 and now it's finally committed as 3402. That's a relief.

@ken_fallon @perloid Do we have a structured way to mark this episode as licensed as CC-by-SA 4.0 International, as that is the license of the source material whereas HPR default is CC-by-SA 3.0 Unported?

I submitted too quickly and forgot to check the license dropdown, but I believe the dropdown might only mention CC-by-SA in general without further specification of version?

@clacke @perloid

It's not an option we provide as such so putting it in the notes is the best way forward.

Is CC-by-SA 4.0 International a better license and should we move @hpr to it ?

@ken_fallon @hpr @perloid It might be!

Higher version and better adapted to non-US jurisdictions sounds better without really knowing what the difference is.

We need an #HPREp that could answer this question.

@perloid @ken_fallon @hpr Please add at the very top of the notes:

This HPR episode, like the material it derives from, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.
In hackerpublicradio.org/eps.php?… I'm just straight up reading the CC-by-SA 3.0 summary and legal text and it takes me over half an hour. More to come.

CC-by-SA 4.0 will be a shorter read, I believe. Haven't recorded yet.
