@glitchymatrix this doesn't work as required

@1nv3n7

I just use the camera.

Can mess with the image a bit if you want(contrast, levels etc.) and even print it (to a PDF doc) using the Gallery
#GrapheneOS

@dazinism cool...thanks bud...how's your battery performance btw... #grapheneos

@1nv3n7
Depends what apps are running, some (eg. element, orbot) can be pretty heavy depending how they are configured & how good network reception is

Often use my phone where others might use a laptop/PC— if I'm getting real serious I use my usb DisplayLink screen (display port doesn't work on Pixels 😒) plug in mouse & keyboard via a usb C hub

Life is somewhat random, can be on the phone all day or hardly touch it

Dont tend to worry about battery, but normally not far from a charge point

@dazinism great... And what browser you use

@1nv3n7
For visiting random links I use tor browser with safety slider on safest - I dont like the idea of my ISP logging everywhere I visit

Otherwise mainly use Vanadium - can long press the launcher & then drag 'open incognito' onto the desktop. Tend to use that for sites that I'm not logging into

Sometimes use bromite

Have neolinker set as default browser, so when I click on a link I get a share screen, where theres a button to copy the url. Paste that into whatever browser I want to use

@1nv3n7
The neolinker thing is only because there isnt a way to directly click on a link in an app, and have it open in an incognito tab.

There is an option in bromite to have it only open incognito, but I sometimes want to use it not in that mode, so found it easiest to do the neolinker thing
(Can also get a Bromite incognito launcher on desktop same as Vanadium)

If you seriously think you may be targeted by a browser exploit attack consider turning off jit in the security …

2/3

@1nv3n7

… settings in Vanadium and/or Bromite. Attacks against jit are the most common browser exploits

This will however make the browser have a more unique fingerprint

Finally bromite has some anti-fingerprnting features Vanadium does not have, but Vanadium makes use of GrapheneOSs hardened memory allocator, so is harder to exploit

Thus ends a complex #privacy and #security seeking #android browser use explanation

A side note—for folks not on GrapheneOS, Bromite is an ace browser choice

@dazinism Great...thanks mate for the details...🙂been using vanadium though but missing Firefox at times
