University of California Salary Data, 2004-2011 by University of California

the below description is pasted from the “Site Notes” of the source:
Salary data are identical to those from public records requests by the San Francisco Chronicle. The Chronicle described the 2005 data as follows, which probably applies to later data as well:
In addition to salaries, total pay includes overtime, bonuses, housing allowances, relocation allowances, administrative stipends, revenue sharing and more than a dozen other types of cash compensation. It does not include health or retirement benefits.
The Sacramento Bee explains the numbers further (paraphrased):
Results are the actual amounts paid to workers during the year, according to the UC system. Since this data looks back in time -- it has to for overtime to show up -- those who worked only part of the year will see their actual earnings for the year, not how much they will eventually make over 12 months. Gross pay includes overtime, bonuses, housing allowances, sick leave payout, vacation payout and multiple other forms of cash compensation. Some workers promoted toward the end of the year will see their old job titles listed here.
Unfortunately, some errors do exist, and have been acknowledged by UC:
Thank you for the information you supplied on possible errors in the way that earnings were summarized in the Calendar Year 2007 and 2008 UC salary data. We have looked at the program that was used for those years and have learned that earnings for employees with the exact same name at the same location were indeed added together under only one employee name and title. We have modified the program so that this will not occur when we produce the 2009 calendar year data. I appreciate your help in identifying this error and apologize for the inaccurate data that was provided.
- Karla Holmberg, Information Resources and Communications, UC Office of the President
You asked whether corrected versions of past systemwide earnings reports will be done. Because the public is most interested in recent earnings for current employees, and the error that you found affected less than 0.5 % of the employees in the report, corrected versions of past reports will not be done.
- Stella Ngai, Director, Public Records and Information, UC Office of the President
Some examples of the errors:
Fernando Vinuela, 2004-2008: Suddenly in 2007 there is no Fernando Vinuela the medical professor, but there is a Staff Research Associate IV with a medical professor's salary.
Grad students reported with salaries up to $335K
Two of the name Jaime Gonzalez at UCLA, a radiology technologist and a custodian, which became a custodian with a radiology technologist's salary.
2007–2010 data represent their respective calendar years. 2006 is actually fiscal year 2005-2006, 2005 is fiscal year 2004-2005, and 2004 is fiscal year 2003-2004. Explanation: These are the reports that UCOP has made freely available.
"Extra Pay" is the amount between base and gross, excluding overtime pay.
Data include employee pay that may not be affected by the proposed furlough plan (e.g. full federal grant).

this table documents yearly salaries for the signatories of this open letter. its purpose is to illustrate the relative privilege (compared to, for example, the global black underclasses) of the coalition that supported the 2020 campaign of bernie sanders for the presidency of the united states of amerika, supposedly as a “progressive” or “radical” alternative to the other imperialist candidates. most of the salary data was obtained from publicly available internet databases, as most public universities in the united states are legally required to share information on the compensation of state or federal employees. (private universities and employers face no such requirements and typically do not volunteer this information.) links to the sources for salary data were accurate and functioning as of march 2020.

a summary by liam hogan:
“My (Crude) Methodology
For the United States I used the Slave Schedules (1850), and for the British West Indies I consulted with the Slave Compensation Records (c. 1834). I proceeded to cross reference every Irish family name contained in McLysaght’s work with these databases, and I then transcribed the results into a spreadsheet. It took five weeks to complete, and I am making this data publicly available today for anyone to access.
Caveat
As everyone that works in the area of genealogical research is aware, this is an inexact science, especially when working with broad brushstrokes, i.e. surnames. I thus decided to exclude many common Irish names in McLysaght’s list (e.g. Moore, Lee, McDowell, Talbot, Needham, Reynolds and Thornton) because they were equally or even more common in England or Scotland. As they owned so many slaves in total (tens of thousands!) their inclusion would have fundamentally skewed the overall number. This problem has also led to the exclusion of many Ulster-Scots surnames as well as omitting the names of Irish people with more traditional English, Welsh and Scottish names. I had planned to cross reference Irish surnames with slave-ownership in the French, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese and Spanish colonies, but I simply ran out of time and the means to complete this. I thus predict that my overall estimate will prove to be an underestimation.
But it should be acknowledged that this methodology leads to a collection of data that is anecdotal, and until further research is done into each individual slave-owner on the list, we cannot claim for certain that these names represent a person of Irish descent. It also does not tell us when these family lines settled in the various colonies, and it is reasonable to assume that some go back many generations. As Dr. Stephen Mullen pointed out, some of these names may even be former slaves, or second or third generation Irish who came to the colonies via England. This is complex.
Yet despite these limitations and numerous caveats, I believe that my data, while cursory, is suggestive of the level of slave-ownership among those of Irish descent. Hopefully this tentative review will lead to more in-depth research that will tease out the complexities of these family histories.”

Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the role of the Haitian Revolution in helping to shape Jose Marti's writings on the social, political and economic conditions in Cuba during its wars of independence. The first chapter examines some of the similarities and differences between these two events (the Haitian Revolution and Cuba's independence wars) and the impact of the Haitian Revolution on Cuba during its wars of independence. The second chapter analyzes some of Marti's political essays and shows how Marti, throughout his works, mentions Haiti as an example not to be emulated. He stresses his desire for Cuba not to become another Haiti and proposes ways for Cuba to avoid the fate of Haiti. The final chapter studies Cuba's political, economic and social environment in the years following Marti's death and establishes whether or not Cuba did indeed accomplish Marti's wish of Cuban independence.

“Eslanda "Essie" Cardozo Goode Robeson lived a colorful and amazing life. Her career and commitments took her many places: colonial Africa in 1936, the front lines of the Spanish Civil War, the founding meeting of the United Nations, Nazi-occupied Berlin, Stalin's Russia, and China two months after Mao's revolution. She was a woman of unusual accomplishment—an anthropologist, a prolific journalist, a tireless advocate of women's rights, an outspoken anti-colonial and antiracist activist, and an internationally sought-after speaker. Yet historians for the most part have confined Essie to the role of Mrs. Paul Robeson, a wife hidden in the large shadow cast by her famous husband. In this masterful book, biographer Barbara Ransby refocuses attention on Essie, one of the most important and fascinating black women of the twentieth century.
