Well, the #apples for this year's #Dutch #tradition of #NYE #appelBeignets (sort of #appleFritters?) are marinating overnights in a mixture of vanilla sugar, granulated sugar, #cinnamon, 60% #Stroh #rum and plain white #Bacardi rum. Hopefully I'll remember to take pics for #RecipEasy tomorrow. :)

I used up the last of my #StrohRum though (hence the addition of inferior Bacardi) :(, so I'll want to get a replacement bottle at some point next year.

The #appelflappen / #appelBeignets (sort of #Dutch #appleFritters) turned out mighty fine and tasty too :D

#apple slices that have been bathing overnight in sugar and cinnamon, coated in batter, #deepFried in oil, and then coated with more cinnamon and sugar.

No individual image descriptions, but the first one is four of them floating in piping hot oil in a #castIron pan, and the rest is them cooled down, with or without a cinnamon sugar coating.
