#ohDamn

According to my #hashtag search for "FreeJulianAssange" I am one of three people who have used the tag. In the past month. I know this is wrong.

@witchescauldron There really does seem to be something seriously wrong with your server. We know that you personally are not administering it so we are not blaming you. Can you please explain what company is doing the hosting. Is it a particular datacenter? Who are they? We are getting increasingly concerned about #censorship?

@dsfgs the #FreeJulianAssange issue is an interesting one - I only actionaly post on this issue, while I agree that he should not be prosecuted. The whole mess he is in is a complex mess of in part his own creation. From the projects am working on we do not need messires/leaders we do need lose open trust networks. Worth spending some time on these issues and the different perspectives they bring up.
@dsfgs The is no one censering of this issue from the admins side on this instance I just went and checked through the Audit log in the admin interface to make soure.

@witchescauldron
The other question is of course whether the logs are maintained properly.

Re: #FreeJulianAssange. That is actually one of *the most popular* things out there. We know because before it was #shadowBanned by #Facebook it was generating a heap of interest. The only people against it were weirdly similar anonymous #warHawk accounts (read: bots).

#Failbook had to block #JulianAssange posts early last year when he was #abducted.

Possible #fediblock, could be #Cloudflare-related.

@dsfgs think for these instances only some limited image chahing goes through #cloudflare so the toots should be whole. but remmber you never see the whole of the fedivers on mastodon instances so its lossy in this.

@witchescauldron
True, however what we meant here is there are *big* #mastodon/#fediverseInstances that are hosted on #Cloudflare servers themself, so in those cases it would probably be trivial for them to #fediblock #activists at the #networkLevel, and prevent people on their servers from getting data from us etc. Especially on particular topics etc.

Yes, we have good reason to suspect Cloudflare are *that* malevolent. They didn't grow during the #GFC for no reason. *wink*
