On the topic of #OnScreenKeyboard's...

a) is there a geniune open-source version out there for #GNUlinux? (We found one, but it requires #Google #CAPTCHA and #registration to see the code - #notSoOpenSource),

b) #swipe-ability?

c) similarly on #android phones is there a #FOSS keyboard with #swipe functionality?

#Openboard is a nice #keyboard for #Android, but for those who want #swipe (or #gesture) based typing then we must recommend #AnySoftKeyboard.

They say their #swipeFunctionality is in beta but we say it trumps the stock keyboard. No more "pulsar" when swiping "#population"!

We're really digging the #batterySaving #AMOLED black theme, too.

However, we're not fans of the little purple squiggle in the bottom-right when swipe is activated, using screen space for no apparent reason.

Thanks for your help, Peexea.

BTW we have found a minor bug in #AnySoftKeyboard. On the lockscreen the keyboard takes up so much space vertically, that the input field becomes hidden.

We assume this is the reason it becomes hidden because if we tap the arrow key to a smaller keyboard then the password field becomes visible. Strangely however these other keyboards don't seem to work. We can type in them, but the screen turns off while doing so.
