1. Oxygen is blue in liquid form
2. It's also magnetic

@torgo I didn't know that either. You don't see liquid oxygen very often.
@InternetKevin turns out you get to learn these things when you take your kid to visit university Chemistry departments.
@torgo *magnetic*? As in, it has polarity? Or is ferrous?
@slightlyoff so I used the word the chemist used. Actually he clarified that Oxygen is "paramagnetic" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paramagnetism. I don't think ferrous would apply here as I believe that means iron-bearing (which is obviously not the case with a test-tube full of liquid oxygen)? The demonstration consisted of showing how a test-tube full of LOX, hanging from a string, was attracted by a powerful magnet, whereas liquid nitrogen was not. I have now exhausted my chemistry knowledge.
