Additional Sessions Judge Dr. Kamini Lau of Tis Hazari courts imposed the condition that Azad should stay out of Delhi for a month and should remain in his native place Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh during the said period.

The Court said that the bail conditions will remain in force for a month. He can also seek modification of the conditions, when any other verified address is given. The Court insisted on his stay at Sahranpur on the ground that he had given that address to police.

Azad has to mark his presence with SHO in Saharanpur every Saturday for the next 4 weeks. He has also been asked to furnish a bail bond of Rs.25,000.

ASJ Dr Kamini Lau of Tis Hazari courts allowed Azad's application for modification after noting that the prosecution could not show any material that his presence in the national capital would cause violence. The plea, filed by advocates Mehmood Pracha and O P Bharti, said Azad was not a criminal and claimed imposing such conditions were wrong and undemocratic.

The modified conditions are as follows:

● The condition regarding marking attendance at Saharanpur SHO on every Sat. modified to state that it can be marked before Daryaganj DCP, if he is in Delhi on Sat.

● He has to inform DCP telephonically or by email if he is somewhere else other than Delhi or Saharanpur.

● Whenever in Delhi, he should inform his schedule to DCP Crime.

● Whenever in Delhi, he should reside at the address given.
