Naval version of Tejas LCA lands on INS Vikramaditya for first time

New Delhi: The Naval variant of the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Mk1 Tejas on Saturday successfully completed its maid

@goldenarcher Pretty cool!
Who's aircraft carrier?
@gemlog India’s. It is the INS Vikramaditya. The MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB fighters operate from it.
@goldenarcher Thank you.
@gemlog Despite the poverty unleashed upon us by the current fascist regime of Modi, we still have a few military hardware that can launch not just fighter jets from the deep oceans, but nulear-tipped ballistic missiles as well.
@goldenarcher And good for you. You may notice that the global bully of EEUU doesn't 'pick' on any country with nukes. Never.

@gemlog The US-led cowboy posse of the west are just paper tigers.

We have one of the most sophisticated militaries in the world. You will get an idea from the Wikipedia article below, which has links to countless reference links:

@goldenarcher You aren't telling me any news.
The USA media dominates the world in news and entertainment - and propaganda, so we (in the G7) don't hear about Chinese space programs or Indian military prowess.
I also have to go out of my way to find out about nearly any country in Africa. Russian news is suppressed.
Look at CBC, BBC, DW, ABC any day and tell me you couldn't just copy/paste them one to another. I do try [guest/guest] https://news.kalum.ca/

@gemlog Talking about space programmes, India’s Isro (Indian Space Research Organization) is among the world’s top space organizations. We sent a spacecraft to orbit Mars in our first attempt – the only country todo so. We launch satellites for even the US among many western countries. We hold the world record for putting over 100 satellites in orbit in a single mission.

We will send men in space in 2022.

Google Mangalyaan, Chandrayaan, Gaganyaan.

@goldenarcher Thank you! That's a perfect example of my general ignorance.
I did know of the sat. launch programs, but had no clue about that mars orbiter until just now.

The problem with not knowing is one doesn't even know what you don't know... ;-)
