Statues and Mandirs is what North India wants... not an education

#JNUProtests

@Dasbolshevik and name change, Agra to be changed to Agravan.

@Dasbolshevik It is never about North India. Never was. Lot of the JNU protestors belong to that region. Accept my apologies, but the idea of confining a problem to a certain caste, religion or linguistic group, aggravates the problem.

#JNUProtests

@Surabhi if there is oppression, then there is resistance, yes. But to say that JNU is some indication of a larger resistance in society has been rendered null and void by the electoral performance of the oppressors.
@Dasbolshevik I agree with all that all that you are saying here. My only point is the dismal electoral performance that you are talking about is being seen elsewhere as well - not just in the infamous Hindi belt - Tripura, West Bengal, Assam for example.
@Surabhi i dont hold the voters of BJP in those areas in very high regard there either considering the rhetoric BJP used to win there.
@Dasbolshevik I don't have any regard for any BJP voter, whichever part of the country they belong to.
I just don't think its right to blame North India (or any one specific region, for that matter) for the current state of affairs.
@Surabhi that's then absolving the people of their responsibility for the collective mess we all have to suffer.
@Dasbolshevik We are. And we are suffering because of the idiocy and screwed-up priorities of each one of those citizens who have voted for the BJP -be it at municipality level, state-level, and most importantly at national-level.

@Surabhi @Dasbolshevik very true. This is what happened in a place like Bombay too. I saw community leaders, despite being from minority communities, campaigning heavily for BJP.

I also saw educated folks justifying BJP candidates because of what ‘progress’ they have made for the constituency.
