At a time when India was a Third World Country, he had the audacity to set up world class educational institutions, large manufacturing facilites and centres for scientific research. The foundation of modern India was laid because of the vision of one man- Nehru

“Facts are facts and will not disappear on account of your likes.”
Jawaharlal Nehru made mistakes, as does every human, but most of the institutions of modern India exist because of him- some are named after his family members, but you can't blame him for it.
To deny Nehru's legacy, or worse, to attempt to usurp it, is to turn our back on history. And those who turn their back on history are condemned to repeat it.

@nuts2406 I'm a little bit weak on this subject, so can you please elaborate on the mistakes nehru made?
@Minimalisticc Kashmir was one disaster, China another.
Had he not fallen out with Abdullah, we would have had a plebisite in Kashmir, Article 370 would have been revoked years back, and Kashmir would (hopefully) have been just another state in the Union.
@nuts2406 Thank you Ma'am
@Minimalisticc why thank you? And why Ma'am. I am certainly not the principal of your school
@nuts2406 Thank you for taking time and effort to share this information and ma'am as a mark of respect cause you seem knowledgeable and informative than I am.
@Minimalisticc I don't think I did enough to justify a thank you. And I can assure you I am not as knowledgable as I pretend to be 🙂
@nuts2406 if only more people could learn to be as humble as you, world would've been a much better place
@Minimalisticc When you look at how much there is to know, and how little you actually do, you have no reason not to be humble.
Nice chatting with you 🙂
@nuts2406 nice chatting with you too, it was really 'humbling' 😅
