These sorts of things are a good reminder of how much of the available computing power we have now is wasted because of lazy programming and the resulting bloatware. Especially in proprietary software, a multitude of engineering sins can be hidden in binaries.

Btw the video doesn't play for us. We attempted to use both 'play' buttons over the video to no effect.

@dsfgs have you got some kind of script-blocker? You will need to allow their scripts and possibly some from the video host.
