1. What's the most kissable type of monster?
Demons cuz they're HOT!
(Big fan of @[email protected] @[email protected] and @[email protected] monsters for kissing especially)
#BigGayRPG
3. Describe the first time you saw gay content in a game:
The character Equalizer from Clanbook: Nosferatu.
#BigGayRPG #vampirethemasquerade
4. A famous IRL gay you'd like to meet in a fictional world?
Josephine Baker. Bi as opposed to gay but then so am I. I had a 1920s-30s character who was a huge fan and had 2 signed photos and a pair of her dancing shoes.

Kiss a beautiful orc boy while the world burns.

How to make the average D&D tavern more gay?
Thursday night drag shows

7. A loudly gay RPG designer we should follow?
She's bi, not gay but @[email protected] is fantastic and her games are all LGBTQ+ friendly. Check her out!
#BigGayRPG
8. Favorite officially gay RPG character.
Equalizer from Clanbook: Nosferatu. No really, I love my boy. He's a great example of why the Nos are wonderful.

9. Most annoyingly gay-coded-but-officially-straight character?
Slightly off topic for the question but I've always felt weird about the Tsimitze and those on Path of Metamorphosis both being very trans-coded but also being the most horrifying of horrible monsters.
#BigGayRPG
10. How have RPGs helped you understand your identity?
RPGs provide a safe, relatively consequence-free space to learn skills (especially social ones), learn about yourself, experience different mindsets and grow. I wouldn't be the me I am today without them.
#BigGayRPG
11. What's it like being gay in RPGs where you live?
I consider myself extremely lucky because the local community (which is large and in Newark, DE) is extremely diverse and accepting. We have at least one person from almost every sexuality and gender.
#BigGayRPG
12. Name a challenge of this straight-dominated hobby?
I'm the wrong person to ask because in my area it's not as straight-dominated BUT it would be nice if more game settings/systems had lgbtq+ content that was just THERE without being a big deal. (1/2)
#BigGayRPG
(12 cont. 2/2)
I'd like rpgs to have an example character with two dads or have a spot for pronouns on the char. sheet. Instead ttrpgs are almost always like "AND HERE'S WHERE WE TALK ABOUT THE GAYS AND WHY IT'S TOUGH BEING GAY DID YOU KNOW ABOUT HIV AND STONEWALL?!!"
#BigGayRPG
13. One way to support other gay RPG people?
Make sure everyone at the table is in agreement about acceptable themes, stories and behavior. If you think someone is being harassed for any reason, get them away from the harasser and help them feel safe.
#BigGayRPG
14. If you're trans or nonbinary, what's the best representation you've seen in a game?
@[email protected] lets you make a nonbinary character and pick your pronouns and @[email protected] also lets you pick your pronouns. Both let you date anyone regardless of their gender.

16. Would you rather play a gay hero or a gay villain?
Gay hero. Gay villains are fun and all but there need to be more gay heroes and fewer gay=evil villains.
#BigGayRPG
17. How do you feel about romance in games?
I think it's great! My only caveat is that whether it's PC/PC or PC/NPC romance, consent matters and everyone involved at the table should communicate clearly what and where their boundaries are so they can be respected.
#BigGayRPG
18. How do you feel about sex in games?
Wow, I looked ahead at some of these questions and I'm going to sound like a broken record for a bit. πŸ˜‚ It's great! But everyone at the table needs to communicate clearly and respect boundaries!
#BigGayRPG
18 cont. Personally, I'm a fan of "blue dot land." If you're trying to keep a game pg13 or pg but someone wants to do something with their character, as long as everyone is cool with it, you send them to blue dot land. No descriptions, simply assume it's happening.
#BigGayRPG
19. How do you feel about violence in games?
Everyone should know what kind of game they're playing at the beginning. If everyone is down for violence, awesome, gore it up! If anyone isn't comfortable, don't! Oh and they don't need to justify their reasons. Ever.
#BigGayRPG
20. How do you feel about rock n roll in games?
I'm in a monster high school game that takes place in the 50s ala The Archies (with most of the ick of the 50s taken out) and I invented a dance called The Scream! It's got a great beat and you can flail your arms to it!
#BigGayRPG
21. How do you feel about homophobia in fantasy worlds?
If I can have dragons and wizards, then damn it I should get to have everyone being whatever sexuality or gender they want without getting hassled for it.
#BigGayRPG
22. What do gay adventurers do during downtime?
I wish I had a funnier answer for this one but honestly, based on my friends, they do all the same things as straight ones. The only difference is there's a lot more talking about how sexy the evil lady villain is.
#BigGayRPG
23. Name one thing that would make you feel more comfortable being gay in the RPG scene?
If all conventions had and enforced the safety and harassment policies of @[email protected] cons. There isn't another con group out there that makes me feel safer or more accepted.
