Pro-tip when grating the ginger: put a bit of cling wrap over the outward protruding grater of your #boxgrater before gently grating the ginger over it. Afterwards you can just scrape the minced ginger off the plastic foil with a spoon (or pour the hot water over it), and not worry as much about the cleanup.

Also, if you don't like the 'skin' of the #ginger, don't cut it off with a knife. Just gently scrape it off, for instance with the spoon you'll use to stir your tea cup afterwards.
