The dodMy mum used to have a buzzer button attached to her walking cane, but she can no longer press it, so I've connected a motion sensor to the cane: she shakes the cane a bit, and it triggers a mechanical doorbell.
The problem was that it sounded exactly like the doorbell (and kept cofusing Mum, the grannie-sitter, and even me), so I've made it sound like someone ringing a bell while being shot with a silencer (they're [still] rare in our hood). #arduino #rf #433mhz #LamePun #fratricide
