Well, the Motorola StarMax 4000 turns on, but it looks like the HDD is shot (made some concerning clicking noises, not the usual thrashing). Haven't connected it to the display yet so I won't know for sure until I connect it.
I did find this #MacAddict CD in the CD-ROM drive, though. To think it's been in there for God knows how many years! 🤯
OK, so it booted fine to Mac OS 9.1. BootX is installed on this, so maybe I should boot up the Linux partition on this.

Heh, I had even downloaded #OpenBSD for #macppc last it was turned on! The version should tell you how long ago it was sincerely I turned it on. 😉
OK, I think I remember what I did last. Based on the images, it seems that I was trying to install #Lubuntu on this when #powerpc was still supported. Obviously, I failed miserably. 😄
Anyway, it's good to know that this machine still works. I'll probably use the Linux partition to install BeOS from within Mac OS. I hope it works. 🤞
Ok, so this is as far as I get. It likely has to do with the CD image. AcetoneISO didn't work, so it's getting snuffed from my laptop. Ccd2iso converted the IMG to ISO, but from what I have read, the .sub file has the rest of the data in order to continue booting. #beos #powerpc #ppc

OK, so I'm downloading an image that PulkoMandy from the #Haiku team has made available. Hopefully, this one will have all the necessary tracks. Otherwise, I may have to scrap this project for a while. 😕
Now if it wasn't so darned slow to download.... 💤
No go. The image was he same one that I have now (BeOS Tools), but for 5.0 instead of 5.0.3. 😞

OK, giving up for tonight. Nothing seems to want to work, so I'll give it a go tomorrow when I'm fully rested.
