In the lower part of the picture you'll see "mastodon FE" and plem, I believe you're using pleb so try out the mastodon one, it's more functional than Plem but nowhere near as pretty

@Elfie I used #Mastodon before. Found the three-column interface annoying, and tends to attract the #Tumblr #crowd more which is not me. The #Pleroma instance I joined https://anime.website has both Pleroma and Mastodon. I need the Mastodon to use search though.

That's just something pleroma has, it's not instance restricted

You can use both anytime you want
