Just invited anxlacc :)
@neauoire Great! We're just embarking on a loose productivity goal for 2019 under #thenewblack that I'm hoping to solidify more. That fits here far better than Twitter.
@ian I saw, it's a great idea.
I want in.
@neauoire Welcome, General. Let's get some specifics hammered out to hold ourselves to, and make some great things in 2019.
@ian How did you draft #thenewblack in your head, so far?
@neauoire My big goal for 2019 is volume. Write more, shoot more, produce more, share more. I've still got to figure out what are feasible yet still challenging goals for each of the mediums I do, but I'd like to find some way to motivate myself to create and share content dramatically faster, and collaborate more with those in #merveilles, specifically. I want to share our talents more.
@ian Let's talk about this. Let me ask you "why more?", while I'm in tune with your targets. I'd love to hear your answer to why you are aiming at volume in perticular.

@neauoire I believe higher volume and more consistent practice *equals* higher quality, which is of course my true goal. I've been really inspired recently by those doing weekly or even daily challenges, and the progress that they lead to.

I really like this anecdote from the "Art and Fear" book from 2001 that's going around lately: https://excellentjourney.net/2015/03/04/art-fear-the-ceramics-class-and-quantity-before-quality/

Art & Fear: The ceramics class and quantity before quality

This story from the book Art & Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland popped up in a favorite technology blog yesterday: The ceramics teacher announced on opening day that he was dividing the clas…

Excellent Journey
@ian That was great. And I totally agree. This is a good plan!
