At #Open2018 I heard a pitch from one of the folks involved in #OpenGift. This is a cool idea! They connect orgs who need software with free code developers. Depending on their needs, the orgs can be supplied with existing software as-in, or modifed for their needs, or new free code software created from scratch for them if nothing existing fits their needs. OG tries to pool orgs with similar needs to reduce costs for each, while paying devs a living wage:

Everytime I look at all the sites under the #CrowdFunding heading on my blogroll, I keep thinking there is scope for some detailed research on which if any of these have been effectively helpful to#FreeCode devs, #OpenHardware makers, or #FreeCulture artists:

The other thing I keep thinking is that I need to stop using my blogroll as a general link list, and actually links to the blogs of all the projects I've got listed (if they have one). All the link lists need to become part of my project of porting stuff from the #Disintermedia project on #CoActivate to the #P2PFoundation wiki.
@strypey What did your friend think by the way? I waited to link my stuff until I knew it was OK.

Writing is going slower as I'm getting a little confused between different projects.
@adfeno yes, It's my own phrase. An attempt to a achieve the non-ambiguity of "open source" in English, while still referencing #SoftwareFreedom rather than the more ambiguous concept of "open-ness".
