had a guy round to look at the washing machine and he tells me this is something he can't fix, it is something i must fix myself. he showed me what i must do and wished me "good luck!" on his way out.
he was in full motorcycle gear and was clearly on his way between jobs, was in my flat for less than 1 minute total. seemed like a cool guy imo and i like getting to fix stuff myself.
oh boy this is actually kinda difficult. the filter cover is stuck so i have to dismantle that part of the washing machine. good thing i'm skilled at manual work and enjoy a challenge! #WashingMachineRepair
unfortunately i'm really low on spoons and i'm not sure i can take on this task today. might have to leave the washing machine tilted on its side overnight and come back to it in the morning. remember to follow #WashingMachineRepair for updates! and leave a comment if ur feeling it
about to attempt the washing machine repair. heeding the advice the washing machine guy gave me on his way out: "put something under there because [the water] is gonnae come pissing oot eh there" #WashingMachineRepair
he wasn't wrong. probably the foulest smelling liquid i've ever met. couple of heavy duty underwires, a hairpin, a cigarette paper and 7p was in there too #WashingMachineRepair
online instructions were like "you'll need a pair of pliers to remove the clamps" and i just went and did it with my finger and thumb, STRONK AND GOOD AT TASKS #WashingMachineRepair
