Don't get me wrong, I hate the way Google forces AMP upon the web, but this is exactly one of the things it tries do something about.
Android is fighting abuse of their platform all the time as well. (Too many permissions, notifications, wakelocks etc.) Though they have it a bit easier because it's much less open than the web ecosystem.
