@johnnemann here it is in place - the plan is making two additional shelves attached to either side and then a barn-style sliding door to cover the TV screen
whilefun@johnnemann if I may be so bold, I would suggest putting a backing panel on at least the lower half to give the main TV shelf and the heavier components some vertical supprt or they will sag over time (learned this the hard way :))
@johnnemann Though I guess the lower components already have verticals. Maybe just a cheeky one behind the receiver attaching the TV shelf to the next one down.
@whilefun Yeah! The TV shelf actually doesn't support any weight right now, the TV is wall-mounted. Also, I put a piece of reinforcing trim on the front of that shelf to give it more strength (it's tough to see in the photo)
