Plus3 aims to become a modern and portable disk management tool of +3DOS disk images for the ZX Spectrum +3.

I'm sick to death of x86-only binaries that only work on some outdated versions of Windows, or installing some weird-arse .NET runtime.

This is #FOSS, and once it's feature complete, it should work natively on Windows, Mac, and Linux on current hardware and OSes.

My Gotek unit came with a selection of titles in +3 .dsk format. Most of these titles were released and tested on the same original machine, so there's no surprise in that the software runs well on the +3, but the Gotek floppy emulation working flawlessly is a little miracle.

I don't have a lot of affection for the Amstrad models, but the +3 has the merit of being the only Spectrum model that came standard with a minimally half decent storage system, without need of the Interface 1, or much else. The Gotek is a little luxury on top of the existing hardware and firmware.

My favourite external feature of the +3 is that it has the "128K" label plastered twice on the computer keyboard/case. Look! 128k! Didn't I tell you that it has all of (((( 1️⃣2️⃣8️⃣K )))))???? 🤣

So here's a ZX Spectrum +3 and a Gotek unit that can be set as drive B:, just to keep the old mechanical drive preserved, although it's probably not going to see much use. The +3 comes modded with composite video output, keyboard membrane updated, and a memory card preloaded with disk images. Not a bad kit.

Although this is really a post-Sinclair machine, the feeling of completing and being able to preserve the whole series feels nice.

Incoming: ZX Spectrum +2, but that's going to take a few weeks, as the mods and updates to the ZX Spectrum + and the +2 have yet to be performed.
