I raced on Zwift tonight in the Bikes France community festival race - on the Douce France route. Held onto the lead group until the Aqueduct summit, and maintained sufficient gap to the group behind to hold off the charge of the sandbag brigade at the end.

I needed to race a non WTRL event to reboot my 30 day race score in ZwiftRacing ahead of a ladder race with Team CLS on Thursday. The Loop de Loop course is my cycling hell, up, down, up down. I managed to hold on with the lead through to the final hill, staying with the 4th - 6th group up the final climb. I was just outsprinted on the line, finishing 6th.

My legs felt heavy from the off, but I managed to hold on to the lead group until the final climb a couple of KM out, where I dropped off the back. Davies and Blyth came past in the last stretch, thankfully relegating me to 13th - but a few DQs above put me back in 13th. I don't do 13th.
New FTP up at 211W, thankfully still have quite a bit of headroom in D.

The first time I've completed Sugar Cookie, and I've not raced 40km for some time, the hill in the final 10km drained me completely - dropped out of the lead pack, happy to hold on for 9th. #zwift #zwiftRacing #cycling
