Entire #SNES graphics processing is no longer handled by the CPU but the GPU using shaders, not just filters but the entire display : sprites, transparency, backgrounds, Mode 7 … and this makes possible high resolution without using an upscaler, to add a whole range of filters and even to have a true 16:9 mode 🎮

#Zsnes, the famous #SNES emulator, is back from the dead. Its original devs reunited and launched Super ZNES, a complete rewrite in #Unity designed to use modern GPU capabilities and more accurate emulation. It's still an alpha and is guaranted without vibe coding.

Don't know about the license yet (last version published in 2007 was GPL-2.0-only)
