- "I got a roadkill call. Can you bring some knives to help skin it?"
- "I'm picking you up in an hour. Wear your grungy clothes. We are picking up some roadkills!"
- "It's 2am. Can you help me go collect a roadkill deer & help me skin it on my porch?"
- "I'm running late to come get you because I had a fresh roadkill alert & I went to get it!"

I forgot the most important beginner one!
- "Get used to super stanky smells! The smells of rancid animal death leads to glorious smells of new art life!"

I'm used to to dank ass death smell now. It took 2 months to not feel super nauseous whenever we loaded up roadkills in vehicle.

@vfrmedia @Coho When I was on a large farm acreage in Cedar, I put some caught dead rat carcasses on stakes as a deterrent too - come here & end up on a stake for owls/raptors. We had a great horned owl who nested on a tree on our small half acre parcel on property. More than 6 eagles also nested on back 40. That owl liked taking some of the dead rats on stakes as an easy meal. Any carcasses the raptors didn't take, we'd feed to giant ant hills on property. I'd collect the skeletons after & give to friends who made arts/crafts from them.

so... mein Einkauf gestern bei locker flockig unverpackt
ein Anfang ist gemacht... muss jetzt nur noch langsam Routine werden
dazu noch ein Brotbeutel für den Einkauf beim Bäcker
und dann noch den Wochenmarkt vorm Dom mit einbeziehen...
unabhängig von den großen Versorgen und lokal...

Meine Spritsparaktion des gestrigen Tages - Erdbeerbeet frisch gemacht 😜:
1. Tontöpfe ohne Loch zwischen den Pflanzen eingegraben (dient der Bewässerung)
2. gehäxelter und getrockneter Heckenschnitt und darauf getrockneter Wiesenschnitt zwischen den Pflanzen verteilt.
3. Im Herbst stecke ich Knoblauchzehen zwischen die Pflanzen. Das macht sie weniger anfällig für Krankheiten.
Ich kaufe seit einigen Jahren keine Erdbeeren mehr. Noch regionaler und saisonaler als aus dem Garten gehts nicht. Und Bio ist deine Entscheidung, es braucht weder erdölbasierten Dünger noch irgendwelche gekauften Spritzmittel. Keine Verpackung, kein CO2 für Transport, keine Ausbeutung von Saisonarbeiter*innen, keine Verschwendung von fruchtbarem Boden in der professionellen Landwirtschaft für Luxusobst, keine Wasserverschwendung in Spanien und der "Gartenabfall" bleibt da, wo er hingehört - im Garten. Kosten? 0 €.

I am loving what Shwapno (স্বপ্ন), which is a chain grocery store in Bangladesh, is doing.

They've completely replaced polyethene bags with bags that look exactly like the former, but degrade after a few days when in contact with the elements.

I noticed this somewhere around late February this year, and suddenly remembered about it.

What's even cooler it's a locally made product, and it's eco-friendly! Super proud.

Found laptops on the street fully abused and often smashed to bits. Recently pulled a 160gb SSD out of one. That’s worth keeping, as well as the RAM, often. TV tuners/media players: they sometimes have internal hard drives. I recently pulled a 320gb 2½″ HDD out of one. Even though that’s likely too small to serve as someone’s laptop system, anything bigger than 120gb is big enough to store a copy of the whole Debian system including all apps (5 blu-rays merged these days). All DC powered electronics: it’s useful to cannabalize the female barrel connector. There are many universal PSUs with a collection of male tips, but never female tips. The female tips are useful for making your own barrel adapters, instead of cutting and soldering your OEM PSUs.
