#Vivaldi is my favorite Chromium browser. Some of the features, like the ability to strip tracking info from links, is really helpful. I think it has one of the nicest looking reader modes that I've come across. The ability to hide specific UI elements until the mouse is moved over them has really helped with screen real estate on my small laptop screen.

But I wish it had a way to pin tabs across workspaces the way #ZenBrowser does.

Or how in Gecko-based browsers, when you take a screen capture, it will highlight different items on the web page automatically, instead of dragging a box to capture specific parts of a page.

If I could cobble together my ideal web browser from existing projects, I'd definitely take a lot from Vivaldi.

In #ZenBrowser I have a folder of pinned tabs for a project I was working on. Since I haven't gotten back to it for a while, I'd like to move them to a bookmark folder instead.

Is there an easy way to convert a folder of tabs to a folder of bookmarks?

@zenbrowser

So I've been using Zen browser for a while and it *mostly* works well for me. The major sticking points are glitches with the sidebar and compact mode.

Sites that trigger permissions requests are mostly broken, if the sidebar is hidden it appears and will remain stuck without any way to tell why. One time I managed to see what it was asking and respond but usually it's just in this weird state where it won't re-hide. This is very annoying.

Bookmarking also behaves very weirdly. I don't see a way to tell if anything is already bookmarked, and it will happily create duplicate bookmarks for you. Not great.

Maybe I'm missing something, maybe there is some way that isn't obvious to deal with these.

Zen is so pretty and zen

I couldn't get #Manjaro to install back on the laptop, so I put #Solus #Plasma back on. Now, for some reason, I can click on links in Thunderbird and #ZenBrowser behaves like it should.

#Microsoft password service is still screwed nine ways to Sunday for one of my #Outlook accounts though.

#Linus #AdventuresInLinux

While I would much rather use #ZenBrowser on my laptop, considering the issues I'm having using it as a #Flatpak, I'll just stick with #Vivaldi for now and keep working with #Solus #Linux for a bit longer.

Maybe I'll finally overwrite my original Windows drive with a different distribution, maybe see if #Manjaro still has the issues it did with the 26.0.3 release that didn't install properly. Just need to make sure I clear everything I need out of Windows.

I installed #ZenBrowser as a #Flatpak in #Solus #Linux. Clicking on a link from Thunderbird will open the browser if it's closed or create a new web page if it is, but it won't send the address to the program.

Am I missing an option to make that happen properly?

A definite downside. And with the limited number of browsers available in the repository, my options are seriously limited.

Is the new #Manjaro installer working properly or is it still broken?

Playing around the theme on Zen Browser for the first time feels like re-discovering Zen for the second time.
