I bit of a weird one that I haven’t listened to in quite some time, and have no memory of where or when I got it.
This is a hard one to describe.
There’s flashes of a million familiar things in here, but it’s hard to isolate all of them.
Dark, #newwave #goth #alternative music? Maybe?
The first track sounds like it could be a long lost Bauhaus b-side, and from there, goes into weird early ragged Cure? The singer here, Shiek Vaselino (😂), isn’t a singer per-se, but perhaps more of a loud talker/shouter?
There’s a weird charm to this record that I like a great deal, but I can see how this wouldn’t have stuck out too much in 1989.
However, I dare you to listen to “Little Girls Without A Dad” and not crack some kind of smile. A ridiculous song, but again, charming in a weird way.

I’ve come to accept that I’m just a sucker for shiny nerd things. I use Rust, despite never having had a professional reason to use it in my life. I switched to Linux in my student years and I’ve never looked back since, even though it constantly breaks and I can’t get my Bluetooth headphones to connect. I have a split keyboard with home row mods set up because I read some random blog posts and it looked cool to me. I literally learned to program because I figured I should learn how to do more nerd stuff.
Apart from the fact that classrooms are supposed to be rooms free of #Ideology - super idea. So young people learn more and more about the #hypocrisy of religious #zealots and adults in General.
I recommend young people to just cite the #commandment every time someone does not live by it. Guess that will be extremely ennervating for adults.
