AGI - Il Parlamento della Croazia ha approvato una legge che consente alle amministrazioni locali di limitare gli orari di vendita notturna di alcolici nei negozi, con l'obiettivo di arginare il consumo eccessivo di alcol da parte dei turisti, che causa disordini pubblici nelle località turistiche più frequentate.
Negli ultimi anni, i media locali e i social network sono stati inondati di immagini e video di turisti ubriachi che bevono per strada, urinano in pubblico, fanno rumore e disturbano la vita dei residenti, soprattutto di notte.
Unanimità
I 117 parlamentari presenti nell'assemblea di 151 seggi hanno approvato all'unanimità le modifiche alla legge sul commercio che consentono a città e comuni di limitare gli orari di vendita di alcolici nei negozi per "tutelare la salute pubblica, l'ordine pubblico, il patrimonio culturale e l'ambiente". La misura non si applica a bar e ristoranti. Il ministro del Turismo, Tonci Glavina, ha dichiarato che l'obiettivo è migliorare la qualità della vita dei residenti.
A Spalato divieti dalle 21
Il sindaco di Spalato, una popolare meta turistica estiva ora tristemente nota per la presenza di turisti ubriachi, ha annunciato che la città vieterà la vendita di alcolici dalle 21 alle 6. L'obiettivo è "contrastare l'ubriachezza e i comportamenti disordinati" negli spazi pubblici della città, in particolare nel centro storico, ha dichiarato il sindaco Tomislav Suta. Spalato, a circa 400 chilometri a Sud della capitale Zagabria, è costruita intorno all'antico palazzo dell'imperatore romano Diocleziano.
Hvar e Zara
Anche altre note destinazioni turistiche, come l'isola di Hvar, famosa per la sua vita notturna, e la città costiera di Zara, hanno annunciato la possibilità di introdurre un divieto simile. Il sindaco di Zagabria, Tomislav Tomasevic, ha affermato che la capitale sta valutando l'opzione. Il turismo rappresenta una parte significativa dell'economia croata, contribuendo per circa il 20% al suo Pil. Lo scorso anno, il Paese, con una popolazione di 3,8 milioni di abitanti, ha accolto quasi 22 milioni di turisti. I visitatori si riversano principalmente sulla costa adriatica, costellata da oltre 1.000 isole e isolotti.

The 117 parliamentarians present in the 151-seat assembly unanimously approved amendments to the trade law that allow cities and municipalities to limit the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages in stores for “protecting public health, public order, cultural heritage, and the environment.” The measure does not apply to bars and restaurants. The Minister of Tourism, Tonci Glavina, stated that the goal is to improve the quality of life for residents.
Ban on Sales in Split
The mayor of Split, a popular summer tourist destination now sadly known for the presence of drunk tourists, announced that the city will prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages from 9 pm to 6 am. The goal is “to counter drunkenness and disorderly behavior” in public spaces of the city, particularly in the historic center, said Mayor Tomislav Suta. Split, about 400 kilometers south of the capital Zagreb, is built around the ancient palace of Emperor Diocletian.
Hvar and Zadar
Other popular tourist destinations, such as the island of Hvar, famous for its nightlife, and the coastal city of Zadar, have also announced the possibility of introducing a similar ban. The mayor of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomasevic, said that the capital is considering the option. Tourism represents a significant part of the Croatian economy, contributing approximately 20% to its GDP.
