i love that both bakura and yuugi are on the same side of the codependent vessel line, and both are fucked up in the same and yet slightly different ways from sharing their bodies with homicidal dead dudes. i ship them HARD because they're the only two that would understand what the other's experienced and would have such a massive hole to fill in their hearts (and with how i ship em, its unfillable 🥲 no one will ever be able to make them feel whole, so they settle for someone who can at least understand). i need them both to be permanently damaged goods 😈

bakura also has this obsession with yuugi, always wondering what he's up to (even his little coin figure is saying "i wonder what yuugi-kun's doing"). i also LOVE in DSOD that yuugi was the only one worried about bakura and wanting to help him. he's just got that white haired anime boy rizz that yuugi cant resist 🤍. i like to think that they'd court each other by beaming their board/cardgame autism directly into each other  and their barely concealed fetishes (hardcore bdsm (yuugi) and guro/necrophilia (bakura) go very well together  🩸)

there's also the spice of yuugi having to question if he can ever really trust bakura, which adds a lot of tension to this dynamic. i think i go from wanting bakura being a full on hair sniffing freak, making yuugi slightly uncomfy but also turned on, and wanting them to fully reciprocate with each other. both are good! i don't think i have a preference for who's the top or bottom or if they switch. i will eat anything bc i am desperate for scraps lol 🍰
