Flips are my comfortzone 🥰

My motivation and body have been slowly getting better again. Decreasing the training load has helped, and also adding in some more pole moves and sessions just for fun has worked wonders. Today I had one of my open sessions at Younity Utrecht, which was so much fun💘. The vibe was awesome. It was so good to see everyone have fun and support eachother. I managed to try my routine once as well

Continuing on the alphabet challenge with I for Iguana🦎

I am wearing the grippy sleeves from divinity polewear. I was surprised by how comfortable and grippy they are! I am trying this out because recently my skin seems to react quite strongly to either the grip aid I use or the contact with the pole. It gives me a red rash that itches like nothing I have ever experienced before. Hopefully I will figure out soon what the reason is🤞🏻

Do you use any grippy clothing or grip aid?

Today D for dragontail🐉

Really want to get better at this trick. I would love to be able to do the fang version

Today B for Brass monkey

Definitely a trick you can work on as a beginner (when you are getting a bit more comfortable with pole and you are feeling confident in your knee grips). First with the handgrip as well. There are so many entries into this one. I learned it by kicking up from the floor. You do have to be/get comfortable with going upside down.

I want to expand the amount of tricks I know, so I'm challenging myself to a pole A-Z.

Today A for Ayesha, such a goal move for many beginner poledancers. My favourite is the elbow grip. This is the version I learned first. Most people find the twisted grip version easier, but it is more injury sensitive when you first start trying Ayesha in my opinion. Because you put your shoulder in a weird position from a mobility point of view, which can be more dangerous when you don't understand the push-pull of the position yet.
