The final mushroom colourway is, um, Wood Blewit again! It’s because I accidentally dyed it on merino/nylon instead of bluefaced leicester and then I thought it would be fun to redo it differently so one colourway represented the gills and another the cap. Next up in the British Fungi on Bluefaced Leicester collection for @yorkshireyarnfest is Wood Blewit, an edible wild mushroom often found in leaf litter. Its cap is initially purple, turning more brown as it matures, and its gills are lilac. Delightfully Deciduous is a leafy blend of green shades, closely echoing the fresh, sunlit canopy of a deciduous woodland. The palette is predominantly woodland and mossy greens, dappled with flecks of olive, gold, and deep forest hues that mimic the interplay of light and shadow on the leaves. I dyed some more “Shocking Pink” as that sold out early at @yorkshireyarnfest and I spend the rest of the day apologising to people who had seen it on their first round but thought it would be there later!

There’s also another batch of “Don’t Be So Melodramatic!”, which is an even more intense (melodramatic!) UV reactive neon pink. Both dyelots are currently drying for dispatch later this week.
