Interactions with Water by Gemma Coyle and the Yoker Community. I pass this sculpture quite regularly as I drive along Dumbarton Road in Glasgow, and it always raises a smile. There's just something I find quite charming about it.
Love the tree's shadow projected onto this red sandstone tenement on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow. The trunk lines up perfectly with the close door, while the branches spread out across the building's facade as if connecting every room to its entrance, just like the communal stairway within.

A plaque marking the tenement on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow where James Alferd Wight grew up. He would later go on to write a series of books based on his experiences as a vet in Yorkshire on the 1940s and 1950, which was then turned into the popular TV series All Creatures Great and Small. For his writing, he used the pseudonym James Herriot, a name inspired by Jim Herriot, Birmingham City Football Club's Scottish goalkeeper from the 1950s.
Modern Bridges of the Clyde: Squiggly Bridge (top left), Squinty Bridge (top right), Spiky Bridge (bottom left) and Swingy Bridge (bottom right). Not their real names, but they make for a nice alliterative, almost poetic, list!

I find projects like this so exciting. Ever since I moved to Glasgow Iβve been wondering why thereβs such a bad north-south connection and weβre finally seeing improvements (here between Partick-Govan and between Yoker/Clydebank-Renfrew as well) π€©
Unfortunately lost the mini ferry between Partick and Govan though (and I wonder if the Yoker-Renfrew) ferry is gonna go as well.
I love this gushet tenement on the corner of Burnham Road and Dumbarton Road in the west of Glasgow. I don't know who architects were, but the style of the top floor corner window is reminiscent of similar ones on tenements in Partick, Govan and Parkhead by Frank Burnet and Boston.
