@atoponce I never worked for #XMission, so I will maintain that even without that bias, XMission over UTOPIA was FREAKING AWESOME.

Disclaimer: I work for #XMission, one of the ISPs on UTOPIA. So my opinion may be biased.

However, when I learned of UTOPIA in 2005, I wanted to move to a city that had coverage.

Before purchasing the home I'm living in now, and before I worked for XMission, I told my wife we needed to find a home that had UTOPIA access.

> "It's silly to buy a home based on the Internet."

The first month after buying our home, we had to tether off my phone, because CenturyLink couldn't schedule us in. πŸ˜ƒ

@ryanlittlefield i’m kindof surprised that #xmission doesn’t run a 6in4 tunnel server like #sonicnet does (iirc)

(cc @pashdown 😘)

wait

https://xmission.com/ipv6 shows utopia has ipv6 now? did someone jump the gun (again πŸ˜‰) or is it a config problem? πŸ€”

IPv6 | XMission

Set up a #6in4 tunnel on my router with HurricaneElectric and now my #ipv6 works fine. So I'm going to go ahead and assume this is a problem at #XMission and not specifically the router.

Tunnel doesn't have a lot of bandwidth though, so probably going to be very temporary.

@daggertooth
For what it's worth, if somebody wants to be a test case, last I knew #xmission (US host) had a good record of telling the government where to shove it when they came knocking without a warrant... #FOSTA #SESTA

I ran a high bandwidth Tor middle node there for a while and was happy with their service
