the user data of new foreign Rednote users after 12/8/2025 is in Singapore, not China.

Currently following two "talking" cats on #xiaohongshu. One is a chaotic orange who also is a genius, able to communicate clearly with the buttons. The other one, a gorgeous fluffy beauty, is blissfully ignorant (aka an utter dunce) who thinks the buttons are magic things that will make human feed it. Her videos are filled with her utter confusion as human does anything BUT give her food. (She keeps missing the "food" button, poor darling.)

In one "episode", the human concluded that Fluffy Beauty is an airhead and told her so via buttons, which, she of course gazed blankly at human in response, wondering again why the food dispensing buttons are broken again. The smart kitty, however, went over to his buttons and told human Mum to stop calling Fluffy Beauty a dunce.

These cats give me life.

Honestly, I long for the days of rugged, manly, battle-hardened generals.

Give me the Zhou Yiwei's and the Zu Yawens! Give me the men with broken noses, tanned skin and imperfect asymmetrical faces.

Enough with the delicate, pale-skinned generals.

Because that's not realistic. But say this out loud in #Cdrama fan circles and you might just be crucified 😆

You may think this shift happened because Chinese tastes shifted, but not really. Not all Chinese think this way as you can see!

I believe the preference for androgynous, delicate looking men rose with the popularity of bishonen in Japanese manga, but that's my theory.
